The denizens of Halloweentown have been working feverishly for some time, and this Friday their work will come to light. Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas is being re-released in 3D!
They're pushing it on MySpace with downloadable icons, skins, and music. Also, there's a contest and Tim Burton will record a video for the winner's MySpace page.
Also, the soundtrack is being re-released with a second disc. Included will be Danny Elfman's demo versions of several songs, plus cover versions by all the hip happening bands of the moment (Fall Out Boy, She Wants Revenge, Panic! At The Disco) plus Marilyn Manson and Fiona Apple. This site has clips from the songs, some still photos from the movie, and the movie trailer.
Also, while poking around, I found a symphonic suite composed by Danny Elfman. I'd never heard of it before - apparently Steve Bartek orchestrated most of it and it was performed for the first time in February 2005. It was just released on the iTunes Store earlier this month. Since Amazon only has it on SACD and I'm not sure if that will play on my computers, I'll get it from iTunes. It's also cheaper.
